All the indices advanced on Friday. SOFIX added 0.33% to 392.81 after receiving support from Corporate Commercial Bank (6C9, BGN 63.989, +4.64%) and Neochim (3NB, BGN 23.00, +3.51%) as both names advanced with only a few shares traded. Close to 80% of the total turnover came from Chimimport again, as more than 268k in the ordinaries and more than 309k in the preferreds changed hands at the previous close levels. Among the gainers, Billboard (5BP) attracted the investor’s attention as the stock was not suffering sell pressure that day and the printing house advanced 4.99% to BGN 0.69. Sopharma (3JR) recovered partially from the drop on Thursday as 30k traded led to a 0.77% gain to BGN 3.94.

The newly built residential buildings in Q2 2010 amounted to 576, down by 20% YoY. The newly built dwellings in them dropped by 34.7% to 4 119 and the useful area came 32.3% less to 298k sq.m. The average useful area of the newly build dwellings increased to 72.4 sq.m. from 69.8 sq.m. in Q2 2009. The largest number of new buildings is in the district of Varna – 116, followed by the district of Burgas – 101 and Sofia capital – 53.

Eurohold Bulgaria published consolidated loss of BGN 4.7m in H1 2010, up from BGN 4m loss in H1 2009. Consolidated revenues reached BGN 205m, up 4% YoY.
Insurance revenues grew by 2% YoY to reach BGN 134m. Revenues of the Romanian insurance subsidiary grew by 8.5% YoY to BGN 86m, while the revenues of the Bulgarian arm of the group were down by 6.8% YoY to BGN 34m. The revenues of the Macedonian insurance subsidiary remained flat YoY at BGN 6.5m.
Sales of vehicles grew by 18% QoQ to BGN 48m. The three main lines of business of the holding - insurance, leasing and car dealership were above breakeven in H1 2010. However, high interest charges weighed on the bottom line.
On the balance sheet side, leverage has decreased since the beginning of the year but still remains high. The ratio of interest bearing debt to equity stands at 123% as of H1 2010, down from 127% the previous quarter and 135% at the end of 2009.

Moststroy’s reported H1 2010 consolidated net loss of BGN 1.9m compared to BGN 2.6m loss in H1 2009. Revenues for the period declined 52.9% YoY to BGN 2.2m while EBITDA came to negative BGN 956k, down from negative BGN 831k a year ago. The net loss shrank as a result of lower interest expense (BGN 604k, down from BGN 977k).
IB debt increased by 2.5% YTD to BGN 25.2m while book value of equity declined to the alarming BGN 5k from BGN 2m at the end of 2009. Promising for the company is that today it starts building Lot 4 of Trakia highway in consortium with Holding Roads.

ELARG Agricultural Land Opportunity Fund REIT reported revenues from rent in the amount of BGN 2.5m for H1 2010, up 21% YoY. Operating profit increased by 23.7% to BGN 1.3m. Net income came to BGN 0.6m or 32% higher on annual basis.
During the last quarter, the company has not acquired any land. As of the end of June, the REIT owned 29 303ha of agriland at an average acquisition price of BGN 2 190/ha. The rented area is 82.53% of the total land at an average price of BGN 184.9/ha.
