The second stage of the reform of Bulgarian agriculture is launched with the restructuring of the sector and compliance with European Union standards, Ventseslav Varbanov, minister of agriculture, said Wednesday. The first stage of the reform has been already completed, Varbanov said. It included the establishment of new land ownership, land and forests restitution and the privatization in the sector. Program 2005 for the agricultural sector focuses on assistance for the private farmers through new investments and improved crediting.
