The British company BNFL is interested in the construction of Belene nuclear power plant, sources from the State Agency for Energy and Energy Resources /SAEER/ announced. The company is also willing to consult the decommissioning of units 1 and 2 of Kozlodoui N-plant after the SAEER signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear power generation with BNFL last year. The new governors declared intentions to continue the construction of Belene N-plant. Preliminary estimations show that Bulgaria will need a new power generation facility after 2012 and the construction of Belene N-plant will cost USD 1.2 – 1.5 Bln if the 1,000 MW unit is completed, Dnevnik daily recalled
