Calls to towns and villages situated within a 30 km perimeter around the respective regional center will be billed as local calls by BTC. The telco has submitted the proposal for the new tariff for review by the telecom regulator. BTC has also proposed for approval a charge of 0.15 levs/min for calls to Athens, Istanbul, Vienna, London, Paris and Moscow. The tariff for the top 6 overseas call destinations - Italy, Russia, Greece, Germany, England and the U.S., is lowered to 0.22 levs/min. If the new tariff plans are oked by the regulator, the telephone bills of BTC's household and business customers will be reduced by 19.20%.
