Bulgargaz proposed a 5.7% increase in domestic natural gas prices to BGN 61.44/MWh (excl. transmission, grid access, excise and VAT) as of 1 August 2024. For reference, the front-month TTF natural gas contracts are trading about 6.2% MoM lower on average so far in July. Recall that the EWRC approved the wholesale natural gas price to BGN 58.10/MWh as of 1 July. With the new proposition, YTD gas prices would be 20.8% lower. The proposition is yet to be approved by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission.
