Bulgaria’s Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) refused to approve the extension of a BGN 1.025 million aid in the form of ZUNK debt rescheduling to Bulgarska Roza Sevtopolis of Kazanlak. The anti-trust body decided the operation is inadmissible state aid. In the course of its survey, the CPC has established that the company's financial performance shows poor liquidity, high indebtedness and dependence on creditors. All bank accounts and most of the fixed tangible assets are distrained as a security for debts to the state. This is yet another proof the company has insufficient financial resources to carry out its operations. The lack of efficient restructuring measures and evidence of viability necessitate the conclusion that any support with state funds is ungrounded.
