The Bulgarian Defence Ministry is holding negotiations with the European consortium EIDS on merging part of the plants within Terem in a joint venture, NMSII MP Nonka Matova announced in Plovdiv. The project provides about 40 planes to be repaired and modernised annually in compliance with the NATO standards at the aviation repair works near Plovdiv. A clause in the contract provides enlarging the military base in Graf Ignatievo, where modules will be constructed for Ariana rockets as well as for Air Bus planes and for military EO Fire. The consortium holds the know-how for repairs of MIG-29.
