DSK Bank recently acquired by Hungarian peer OTP posted a net profit of BGN 36.391M for the January-September 2003 period. The bank said the nine-month gains have set a new record high. 2002 DSK’s full year profit topped BGN 40.68M. The DSK assets rose by BGN 333M to BGN 2.352B in January-September, posting a 16.5% year-to-date increase and a 36% y-o-y rise. Uni-Credito owned Bulbank is the only bank sitting on more assets than DSK. The bank’s credit exposure increased by BGN 212M for the period under consideration. DSK’s loans are stood at BGN 1.158B at September 30th 2003, making the bank Bulgaria’s biggest lender. Consumer loans account for 82.3% of the overall credit portfolio. Deposits rose by 33.8% y-o-y at end-Septemebr to BGN 1.998B.
