The construction of the Sofia-Nis motorway is not on EIB's list of priority projects for financing. The facility could become attractive in several years' time, EIB director for Bulgaria and Romania Guido Bruch said at the 4th Euro-Atlantic Conference on State-Public Partnership in Central and Eastern Europe. In his view, the expected traffic does not justify the construction of a four-lane motor way. Since 1990, EIB has invested EUR 920 million in Bulgaria.
