Elana Agrocredit reported 27 new leases in September (BGN 3.2m*), which represents a 66.5% YoY drop, due to base effects as Sept’23 had an unusually high activity. Still, the number is more than double the 2024 YtD average. The company financed the purchase of 2 409 daa (-60.1% YoY) of agricultural land during the month at BGN 1 346 per daa (-16.0% YoY). YTD average price per daa was BGN 2 052, which represents 2.5% annual increase. Short term loans remained flat at BGN 16.7m. YtD leases amounted to BGN 13.7m, compared to BGN 28.8m in 9-mo 23. The size of the financed land decreased to 6 652 daa YtD (-53.6% YoY). *20% of the price is down payment by the lessees.
