Foreigners carried out deals for over US$ 1.56 billion on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) in 2005, data of the Central Depository show. The sum includes both the purchase and sale of shares and bonds. A total of 32,000 foreigners and 508,000 Bulgarian investors participated in the bourse trade in 2005. The total value of the deals carried out on the BSE in 2005 amounted to US$ 2.2 billion.
