A German idea was launched in Bulgaria back in May this year. It was the idea for the establishment of a new credit institution with the large participation of the German Komerzbank, three more German financial institutions with stakes of 20% each and the London-based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The new bank will be opened in September with DEM 15m capital under the name Microcreditbank – Bulgaria. It will be aimed at stimulating small business and fast-growing trade between Bulgaria and Germany.
