Bulgarian Railways transport of passengers and goods went down by 15 percent for the first quarter of the year in comparison with the same period last year, Transport Minister Plamen Petrov announced. No changes in railways tariffs are expected, but any change would mean huge amount of subsidies, he added. The managers of the big transport companies are to present to the transport ministry information on the their business plans and their business development in the first quarter. According to Minister Petrov the ministry already has prepared concrete proposals for subsidies in the passengers railways transport.
