MPs of the Simeon II National Movement said that the serious debate of the strategy is yet to be held. In their opinion the strategy does not clarify the restrusturing of Bulgartabac Holding after the privatization, concerning the the future of the separate companies. The MPs also objected to the state's decision to keep its golden share in the company. In their opinion this could hamper the company's development and will not act as stability guarantee for investors. Under the privatisation strategy approved by the government Bulgaria will sell up to 80 percent of its tobacco monopoly Bulgartabac Holding by mid-year and will not set a minimum price. Bulgartabac’s 22 domestic and eight foreign subsidiaries are to be sold as a whole entity. The company is to be sold through a two-stage competitive bidding and the government would prepare a short list of five bidders at the second stage
