Retail sales worth BGN 1,911m were realised in the first quarter of the year. This is an increase of 2.2% compared to the like period last year, of which 2.5% are for sales of foods, beverages and tobacco products and 2% are for non-foodstuffs. These results were announced by the National Statistic Institute.
