The Russian government approved officially last week the draft contract for co-operation between Russia, Bulgaria and Greece for construction of the oil pipeline Bourgas-Alexandropolis. The Russian Ministry of Energy has been entitled to negotiate with the Bulgarian and Greek partners for achieving final agreement and signing a contract. The memorandum will be another step towards the implementation of Bourgas-Alexandropolis project after in February the three parties agreed on the realisation of technical-economic study for the feasibility of the pipeline. The EUR 3m costs of the study will be covered by the European Union from the Greek quota.
