Bulgarian ships passing the pontoon bridge over the Danube at Novi Sad were charged USD 0.39 per ton of capacity and again USD 0.39 per horsepower on Saturday. This is a significant reduction compared to the previous level of the charges of USD 1.75 per ton, Dimitar Stanchev, Director of Bulgarian River Shipping Company, commented. If the charges remain at the lower level, the Bulgarian River Shipping Company will get closer to the level of economic efficiency, which is necessary for the company to meet its expenses alone.
