One of the companies intending to invest in the troubled national flagcarrier Balkan Airlines has offered to buy out the shares of majority holder Zeevi Group, and repay the debts to creditors. The Balkan receivers are having talks with three potential investors, which are interested in the recovery of the company but they cannot be named at this stage, said the receivers, adding only that some of them are financial institutions and are not in the aviation business. Getting the recover plan approved involves certain procedures so the approval is not likely before September. Even though no recovery plan is being implemented, Balkan Airlines must fly because it is the only way to survive, according to the receivers.
