Revenues form international tourism in 2000 have exceeded USD 1 billion for the first time. Bulgaria expects to post USD 538 million positive balance on the tourist account, official from the Economy Ministry announced. A total of 2.354 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria last year, which is 13% up than tourist flow figure in 1999. Tourists in January 2001 were 17% more than in January 2000.
