According to preliminary NSI data, a total of 2939 new residential buildings were constructed in the country in 2008, up 9% YoY. The new homes were up 12% YoY to 21 041, with a 8% YoY growth in their total area to 1.6m sq. m. (a 10% YoY growth in the total living area to 1m sq. m.).
