Five new mutual funds are preparing to start offering their shares to investors within a month after all of them received the necessary licences from the Financial Supervision Commission.
Three of the new collective investment schemes, FIB Classic, FIB Garant and FIB Avanguard, will be run by FFBH Asset Management, associate of FFBH. Their shares will be also offered in the offices of the local First Investment Bank. The funds will be initially focused on the Bulgarian market, said Nikolai Kostov from FFBH Asset Management. Opportunities abroad will be targeted with the purchase of debt securities, corporate bonds in particular, he added. The stock markets in the Balkans and in the East European region will become an investment option at a later stage.
FIBank is the latest Bulgarian lender to get involved in the local mutual fund market albeit only as a distributor.
The other two new offerings, Real Finance Balanced Fund and Real Finance High-Yield Fund, are launched by Varna-based Real Finance Asset Management, a Holding Varna company.
