Allianz Bulgaria's premium income from insurance businesses totalled nearly BGN 120 M in 2002, the company's managers announced in presenting financial results for 2002. According to the reported figures Allianz Group managed to keep is leading position on Bulgaria's insurance market.Allianz marked a growth of 25% in general insurance premiums, while in pension insurance it manages assets worth BGN 139 M. Allianz holds 54% of the voluntary pension insurance market in Bulgaria. Revenues from Auto Assistance insurance of the Green Card insurance policyholders surpassed BGN 2 M. Some 700 insurances for Auto Assistance abroad have been sold over the past year. At the end of July Allianz Bulgaria became the second Bulgarian insurer, after the State Insurance Institute, to offer to its green card insurance policyholders Auto Assistance insurance. It covers repairs, transportation and emergency medical costs in the event of a motorist accident abroad.
