Bulgarian American Credit Bank (BACB) may receive a 1-year interbank credit line of up to EUR 50m from Allied Irish Banks, which holds nearly 50% of the Bulgarian bank.
The proposal for obtaining the facility will be voted on at the AGM scheduled for April 29, 2009.
BACB will utilize the facility thorough drawdowns of at least EUR 5m. Each drawdown will have an interest rate of the sum of 1-month EURIBOR and a margin of 3% per annum.
The funds will be used to finance BACB’s key target market – SMEs – and refinance maturing obligations.
Additional key proposals include the distribution of no dividends for 2008 and the approval of amendments in the bank’s by-laws with respect to how meetings of the Supervisory Board will be held.
