A first sod ceremony will be held at the site of the future tablets site of Balkanpharma-Dupnitsa on September 26. USD 15 million will be invested in the production with an annual capacity of 3 billion pills and a staff of 100, with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Production will fully comply with the EU standards for good manufacturing practices. The project was developed by the Austin Company Engineering. The opening ceremony will be attended by members of the EBRD board and the board of Farmaco.
