Bulgaria’s Biovet will sell carbon dioxide emission reductions to the Netherlands, after winning a tender of the Dutch government. The contract will be signed by Biovet CEO Angel Zhelyazkov and the Netherlands ambassador to Bulgaria, Henriette van Linden. The project of the company envisages building a power and heating plant running on natural gas. This will help reduce hazardous gas emissions and enhance the efficiency of the enterprise. The term of the agreement with the Dutch government is until 2012. Contracts have also been won by Overgas and the heating utility in Plovdiv.
