MoneyGram signed Tuesday BTC, the US-purchased Bulgarian telecom, to operate the new MoneyGram call centre. The centre will handle money transfers from the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine. It is about to open next Monday. MoneyGram is the first international company to put BTC in charge of its main call centre. Companies from 25 different countries bade for the project. According to BTC CEO William Aylward, Bulgaria would become Europe's preferred call centre destination. "We are doing our best to attract more investors to Bulgaria and thus create new, well-paid jobs," Aylward said after signing the contract.
