European low cost carrier Wizz Air will add Sofia to its flight destinations, becoming the first no-frills airline flying to Bulgaria, transport minister Nikolai Vasilev said at a meeting with the Bulgarian Convention and Visitors Bureau. Wizz Air has already received a nod from the Hungarian authorities to fly to Sofia and has secured the approval of the Bulgarian transport ministry. Wizz Air Limited is registered in London. The company has two subsidiaries, Wizz Air Hungary and Wizz Air Polska, and operates a fleet of six Airbus A320s from bases in Budapest, Hungary, and Katowice, Poland.
