Building permits issued in Q3’12 decrease 13% YoY

The number of new building permits issued in Q3’12 decreased 13% to 2 462 compared to Q3’11, according to data released by the National Statistical Institute. The residential building permits decreased 13.2% YoY to 1 159, while total built-up area in them decreased 18.6% YoY to 357k sq. m. The other buildings permits decreased by 12.3% YoY to 1 257, while build-up area was down 13.4% YoY to 596k sq. m. The administrative and office building permits decreased 25% YoY to 46 buildings with total build-up area of 27k sq. m. or 10.6% more than in Q3’11.
