Bulgargaz proposed a 34% increase in the domestic natural gas price to EUR 59.08/MWh (excl. transmission, grid access, excise and VAT) as of 1 November 2026. Recall that the EWRC approved a wholesale natural gas price of EUR 44.09/MWh as of 1 October. Compared to the current TTF index, the suggested price is circa 30% below the European natural gas futures, which surged past EUR 80/MWh amid the uncertainty around the Middle East conflict. The proposition is yet to be approved by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission.
