The European Commission (EC) has approved the modification of six Operational Programmes (OP) for the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) under REACT-EU. In Bulgaria, the ERDF OP “Competitiveness and Innovation” will receive additional EUR 120m, which is intended to be used for working capital support for SMEs. It is estimated that some 2 600 SMEs should receive support. Recall that in May, EC approved the allocation of EUR 173.6m to Bulgaria, as part of a package under REACT-EU to support labour market resilience, jobs, SMEs and low-income families.
