New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria increased by 27% YoY in Aug’26 to 4.7k units. The Jan-Aug 2026 registrations reached 35.6k units, up by 9.8% YoY, data by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) reveal. Meanwhile, new car registrations in the EU increased by 4.5% YoY to 708k for the month, while YtD registrations were up by 5.3% YoY and reached 7.5m units. Looking at the bloc’s major markets, Germany was up by 2.6% YoY for the month and France registered a 7.4% YoY growth.
