Bulgaria’s Jan-Nov’15 exports to the EU (in FOB terms) increased with 8.3% YoY to BGN 26.9bn, according to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute. The main trade partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France, and Belgium which accounted for 69.3% of the total exports during the period. In November 2011 alone the exports to the EU increased by 1.3% YoY to BGN 2.5bn. The Jan-Nov’15 trade balance with the EU closed at a deficit of BGN 3.5bn (BGN 3.8bn deficit in Jan-Nov 2014), as imports rose slower than exports, by 5.9% YoY.
