Bulgaria has set a budget deficit target of BGN 1.96bn in its 2011 budget draft, equivalent to 2.5% of the GDP projected for next year. Bulgaria plans to bring down its 2011 budget deficit from the 4.6% of GDP gap projected for this year through better revenue performance following an expected economic recovery and a tight fiscal policy, according to t Finance Ministry. The 2011 budget frame has been prepared based on an economic growth forecast of 0.7% for 2010 and 3.6% for 2011.
