The big international passenger and freight transport companies, which hold 60% of Bulgarian market, are seeking a dialogue with the transport ministry to discuss sector problems ahead of Bulgaria's EU accession. Carriers and administration need to join their efforts to prepare Bulgarian transport business for European market. After January 1, 2007 the transport ministry will no longer regulate the market by issuing international permits (CEMTs).
