Bulgaria's Privatisation Agency contracted the Central Cooperative Bank and Sofia - Deloitte&Touche EOOD, for consultant in the sale of Bulgaria's new flag carrier "Bulgaria Air". The consultant will be assigned marketing and consultancy tasks during the sale. It will have to cooperate with the Privatisation Agency in realizing the privatisation deal. Only one bid for consultant in the sale of Bulgaria's new flag carrier was submitted by the deadline on April 14. At the end of March the Privatisation Agency extended by fourteen days the deadline for submitting bids for consultant in the sale at the request of one of the candidates. Bidders were required to submit EUR 5000 of deposit to participate in the competition. In the middle of March the Privatization Agency announced that Bulgaria plans to sell a minimum 51% stake in Bulgaria's flag carrier Balkan Air Tour. Up to 25 % of the carrier's shares will be floated on the stock exchange. After a competition, it was decided that the flag carrier Balkan Air Tour would be renamed to Bulgaria Air.
