In response to the statement of Simeon II National Movement (SNM) that the third GSM licence should be awarded after a competition rather than without one, the chairman of the State Telecommunications Commission (STC) Ivan Taoushanov said "We will take this into consideration and the submission of the motion for awarding a licence for government approval will be put off". Meanwhile BTC Executive Director Ivan Spassov said that no matter what the future government decides, BTC is ready to go on a competition for the licence to become the third GSM-standard operator.
