Obligations of economic agents to commercial banks decreased by BGN 143.4m in the week ending July 20, data of the Bulgarian National Bank indicate. On July 20 the domestic credit of commercial banks totalled BGN 4.588 billion. The weekly decrease is 3.03% and it is to a great extent due to reduction in the BGN component. The receipts of commercial banks from the government substantially decreased. They were down by BGN 151.3m, to BGN 111.3m on July 20. The obligations of the private sector are calculated at BGN 4.122 billion, which is by BGN 9m more than a week earlier. This growth is entirely due to the increase in the receipts from population.
