Doverie Holding registered a loss in the amount of BGN 156,000 for the first six months of 2004, after realizing a profit of BGN 472,000 during the corresponding period of 2003. The 2004 H1 loss is owed to the drop of the US dollar exchange rate, which had a negative effect on the income from export attained by certain companies within the holding. The company made a profit in the second quarter of 2004, but it does not compensate for the losses suffered by most textile and construction companies within the holding, which were registered in the first trimester of 2004.
