This includes the restructuring of the National Electric Company, the privatization of Maritsa Iztok - 3 and Maritsa Iztok - 1, as well as the possible full privatization of the electricity distribution companies. The EBRD is planning to disburse about EUR 100 million to Bulgaria this year, of which 25% will go to the financial sector, between 20 and 25% to private industrial companies and the rest to infrastructure projects. The EBRD intends to start investing in projects connected with retirement insurance and insurance. The post-privatization fund set up by the EBRD, which helps privatized enterprises, has had two transactions approved and is looking for three or four enterprises to support in the coming months.
