The European Investment Bank will inspect the project for the expansion of the road Plovdiv – Ksanti passing through Smolian and Rudozem before its eventual funding. The expansion project will cost EUR 130m and will allow vehicles to travel at a higher speed, facilitating, in this way, the trade exchange with Greece. Five companies are ready to take part in a tender for the construction of a road from Rudozem to the Greek border. The lowest price offered is BGN 14.4m, and the highest BGN 17.1m.
