Regional Development and Public Works Minister Evgeni Chachev and Counsellor Christos Makridis, First Secretary at the Delegation of the European Commission to Bulgaria, Monday signed an agreement on rehabilitation of the 40 km stretch of the E-85 international road between Harmanli and Svilengrad (Southeastern Bulgaria). The stretch forms part of Crete Transport Corridor No. IV and should be completed in two years. The project is financed by the PHARE Cross-Border Co-operation Programme with EUR 11.8 million and by the Roads Executive Agency by EUR 787,000
