A project under the EU PHARE program about the reform in public procurement system was officially launched. The project’s value is EUR 1.3m and its goal is to facilitate the efforts of the administration for creating an effective, open, and competitive system for public procurement. The project includes German experts analysing the legal grounds for requesting state and municipal procurement and preparing proposals for amending them. There is also EUR 300,000 from the project’s funds for developing the recently introduced Public Procurement Register.
