The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) has approved an 8.4% MoM decrease of wholesale natural gas price to BGN 71.08/MWh (excl. transmission, grid access, excise and VAT) as of 1 February 2024. The price cut came at the height of the heating season, in line with the TTF gas futures decrease. The commission noted that the contracted quantity of Azeri gas covers 42.03% of the consumption for the month.
