Bulgaria has made considerable progress on its way to NATO entry but there is still a lot more to be done, NATO Secretary General George Robertson, said after his meeting with Foreign Minister Passy. He said Bulgaria still has time to improve its results in the military and civil sector, solve minority problems and intensify corruption combat, which are the most serious problems it faces. During the meeting with President Parvanov George Robertson was briefed on Bulgaria’s army reform. Robertson also addressed the participants in the sixth annual lunch organized by The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. George Robertson arrived February 28 on a one-day working visit to Bulgaria within his tour of the NATO membership applicants.
