The new IMF mission chief for Bulgaria Jerald Schiff is expected in Bulgaria in July. This emerged after a meeting of the visiting IMF Executive Director for Bulgaria, Johannes de Beaufort Wijnholds, with Finance Minister Mouravei Radev on Tuesday here. Wijnholds believes that it is too early to discuss the conditions of a new Bulgaria-IMF programme before the June 17 general elections. The two sides also discussed Tuesday the successful implementation of the three-year agreement between Bulgaria and the Fund. The last tranche under this agreement is expected by mid-May.
