According to preliminary data by NSI, Bulgaria's industrial production index registered a 0.7% MoM increase in Aug’26. On an annual basis, the working day adjusted index was down by 5.4%. On a monthly basis, the production increased in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 10.7% (+42.4% YoY) and in manufacturing (+0.8% MoM; -6.1% YoY), while mining and quarrying industry registered a 19.7% MoM decrease (-54.1% YoY).
