The assets of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) Issue Department amounted to BGN 14.130 billion by September 21, 2005, increasing by some BGN 39 million (0.3%) on the preceding week, central bank data shows. Government holdings with the BNB stood at BGN 4.434 billion, up by BGN 29 million. Commercial banks' accounts with the BNB decreased by some BGN 39 million. A net amount of EUR 15 million was paid in connection with the regulations for minimum mandatory reserves. Money in circulation increased by about BGN 7 million.
