Kamenitza brewery, owned by Molson Coors, has sold its former brewery in Plovdiv for an estimated EUR 6.8m. A local holding company Sienit has acquired 13.6 daa of the plot, while the rest was purchased by companies related to George Totev. The plot will be used to build office and residential buildings, as well as a small brewery. The brewery retained a single share with specific veto powers in each of the project companies that acquired the plot, with the goal of overseeing the negotiated execution of the projects, but retained no economic interest, according to management. Kamenitza retained 3.5 daa of the plot to build a craft brewery and museum of the 135 year old facility. The Kamenitza investment is estimated at EUR 2m and should provide 50 work places.
