The consumer products and metal constructions producing plant of the biggest metallurgical enterprise near Sofia Kremikovtsi is now separated into an independent company. Its new name is ZSNM-Kremikovtsi AD. The capital stock of the company totals BGN 50,000, 49% of which are owned by ZSNM, and 51% by Kremikovtsi. The separation of the plant complies with the plan for separation into individual companies of the activities outside the main production, as undertaken in the privatization contract. The general shareholders meeting held end-June reported an operating profit of Kremikovtsi for the first six months of 2000 of BGN 13 million. In 1999 the company registered losses of BGN 179 million
