German carrier Lufthansa expects the Bulgarian market to deliver double-digit passenger growth in 2008. The company flew over 310k passengers to and from Bulgaria last year, a 10% YoY increase. It estimates its share of the Bulgarian market at 16%. The joint venture between Lufthansa Technik and local carrier Hemus Air will begin operation in the fall. It will absorb EUR 20m in investment, creating 360 new jobs.
